Our Team

Leigh is the owner of the business and brings over 24 years of experience in accounting-related roles. He began his career in Australia, earning a Bachelor of Accounting from Central Queensland University in 2001. Since then, Leigh has worked across a variety of industries and countries including Australia, New Zealand, Spain and Mauritania. In 2021, he relocated to Elgin to be closer to family support for his young daughter and went on to establish the practice.

 Chloe is based in our Paisley office. She has a First Class Honours degree in accounting. She is currently working towards her ACCA qualification and is well on her way to becoming a Chartered Accountant. With several years of experience already under her belt, Chloe is passionate about her career and enthusiastic about what the future holds. Outside of work, she enjoys running, reading and getting out for walks.

 Megan is based in our Paisley office and is a Chartered Accountant, having achieved her ACCA qualification in November 2024. She also holds a First Class Honours degree in Accounting and has built up several years of experience in the profession. Megan is enthusiastic about continuing to grow her career and take on new opportunities. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, going to the gym, and spending quality time with friends and family.

Becky holds a BA Honours degree in Accounting & Finance and has over 15 years of experience in the accounting industry. She has worked across a variety of accountancy practices, gaining a broad range of knowledge and expertise along the way. Becky specialises in annual accounts and tax and is part qualified with the Association of Taxation Technicians. Outside of work, she enjoys spending quality time with her two sons and keeping active through exercise.

Nicola works remotely from her home in Spain and brings a wealth of experience to the team. After spending 15 years in banking and finance across Edinburgh, London and Australia, she made a career change and earned a 2:1 MA (Hons) degree in Accounting & Finance. Since then, she has gained valuable experience working in general accountancy pracitces. In her spare time, Nicola enjoys walking her dog along the Spanish promenade.

Immy is a Trainee Accountant based in our Elgin office. She is about to begin her journey towards becoming ACCA qualified. She brings a strong academic foundation, a passion for numbers and a keen interest in helping clients make sense of their finances. Following the completion of her graduate accounting apprenticeship, she has progressed to a trainee accountant role and is eager to expand her experience in personal tax returns.  Outside of work, Immy enjoys reading and getting outdoors for walks.

Daisy is a Trainee Accountant currently in her fourth year of her Master's degree in Accountancy at Glasgow Caledonian University. She has been working in the accounting industry for four years, gaining valuable hands-on experience while continuing her studies. Outside of work, Daisy is passionate about music - she plays the piano, sings in a few bands, and performs in musical theatre.

Joan is an experienced Accounts Assistant based in our Paisley office, bringing over 30 years of experience in the finance industry. Her wealth of knowledge and positive attitude make her a valuable member of the Northgate team - and she genuinely loved being part of it! Outside of work, Joan enjoys Northern Soul dancing, listening to music, and getting lost in a good book.

Bradley is based in our Elgin office and holds a degree in Business Management and Finance. He's passionate about developing his professional skills and is currently undertaking his first year of the graduate program, gaining hands-on experience and exploring different areas of accounting. Outside of work, Bradley enjoys keeping active-he's a regular at the gym and trains in boxing.

Katie is Northgate's Payroll Officer, based in Elgin. She also looks after client onboarding to make sure everything starts off smoothly. With over six years of hands-on payroll experience and a HNC in Administration, Katie brings a wealth of knowledge and attention to detail to her work. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
